Aeromic Turns 30!
30 years ago, electronics technician Peter Paisley received a request from a leading Australian Fitness Instructor regarding the manufacture of a microphone that could withstand the heavy demands of her fitness classes. She required a mic that wouldn’t malfunction in the midst of her 90 minute “Train The Trainers” Masterclass she planned to instruct at the Australian Fitness Network’s Annual Fitness Convention.
Following this request, Peter immediately got to work designing and constructing what would soon become the industry Gold Standard fitness microphone, the Aeromic.
The Aeromic took off after this convention, with orders flooding in from across the globe for Peter’s highly durable fitness microphone.
30 years on and there is still increasingly high demand for these microphones. Peter continues to manufacture the Aeromic along with the Cyclemic. The E*mic is made overseas using technical initiatives set down by Peter.
Although these mics are continuously updated with the latest innovations in sweatresistance and audio quality, the original design of the Aeromic itself has changed very little. It remains lightweight, aesthetically pleasing and is proudly handmade right here, in Australia.
The Aeromic, Cyclemic and E*mic are proudly distributed by Aeromic Microphones Australia (AMA). Established in 1994 by Peter Paisley and John Penhallow, AMA markets Aeromic and Fitness Audio products to distributors and dealers around the world.
At AMA, we have watched the Aeromic grow from its humble beginnings to the worldrenowned, industry-gold microphone it is today. We are very proud of its development and are delighted to celebrate 30 years of the Aeromic!
